The COVID-19 pandemic has brought the world to a halt as we all confined to our houses. During these unprecedented times, most have had to significantly change their daily routines to adjust for work-from-home and family time. Confinement has also seen significantly reduced general physical activity with very little time spent outdoors.

At this time of diminished physical activity, low motivation has brought about a great deal of laziness and procrastination for many who lack the motivation to exercise at home. When confined and alone it is understandable for people to feel de-motivated.

Exercise has been proven to be very important in improving productivity and physical and mental health alike. The WHO recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, or a combination of both. These recommendations can still be achieved even at home, with no special equipment and with limited space.

We at JIM strongly advocate government and organizational advise to stay-at-home and maintain social distancing. This is why at Jim, we decided to create the Jim challenge connecting those confined to empower each other to come out a physically, mentally better version of themselves post confinement.

At a time when distance and motivation are barriers, JIM continues to be by your side to stay fit and fabulous!
